DENIM REDUX
This ain't no regular rodeo.
‘Distressed’ is not a mental state we want to be in, but when it comes to this season’s denim trend, we’re all for it! Luxury labels and denim specialists from Levi's to Calvin Klein have pushed the boundaries of the classic cowboy cloth, incorporating distressed elements, as well as unique acid washes and indigo rinses this season. This is a great trend to incorporate a pair of vintage distressed jeans with a new contemporary western jacket by the likes of Tommy Hilfiger. Experiment with raw hems, double denim co-ords, and cool stone washes in neutral tones. Keep your silhouette relaxed and even oversized, especially through the jeans where wide-leg silhouettes are getting all the love right now. A 90s-inspired bucket hat and some chunky kicks are a great way to finish the look, too.

GREEN SCENE
Pale green takes centre stage.
Soft mint hues and pistachio tones are the unexpected standout of SS25, as a host of designers played with a pale green palette. From summery pastel co-ords by Lacoste to mint-green tailoring by Moss, this set of cool hues is perfect for head-to-toe monochromatic looks or subtle pops of freshness when paired with whites and greys, plus it looks amazing on all skin colours too. When you’re going with full mint green looks, it can be really effective to use a much stronger pop of aqua to create a tonal contrast, and accessories are especially good for this. Whether it’s a big tote by BOSS or a casual cap by Tommy Hilfiger, they will add depth and interest to your outfits.
POCKET POWER
Effortless practicality reigns.
Utility wear usually steps up in the autumn and winter season but this year it’s taking on a fresh attitude with athletic-inspired lightweight fabrics and soft spring tones. The rugged edge has gone and in its place is a more modern and minimalist aesthetic that’s a breeze to style. Co-ord cargo pants and smock tops by the likes of Hugo reinforce that minimalist look, while the sleeveless vest - last year’s big trend - continues, with great options by Calvin Klein & BOSS. A technical bomber jacket by Tommy Hilfiger will give you that streetwear edge too. Clean lines, neutral tones, and functional details - these are the elements you need to balance practicality with contemporary style. Bookend the look with chunky hiker/sneaker hybrids by Kurt Geiger and you’ve got a versatile look to take you through the season.

CHECKS APPEAL
Checks go bold this season.
Plaids and checks are never far from the menswear runways, but this season they were demanding even more attention, with a host of luxury brands opting for geometric sophistication. Checks were appearing in everything from lightweight blazers to statement trousers, hats and bags. A check suit or blazer by the likes of Moss is a sure-fire way to get noticed, but if you just want to dip your toe into the trend, then opt for a more subtle and versatile camp collar check shirt by Joules, layered over plain white tees for a laid-back, urban look. Check patterns are a great way to add some energy to neutral summer outfits, even if they come in the form of a plaid tote or bucket hat. Instant checks appeal.
